Attendance is a major factor in academic success. Please do your best to schedule all dental and medical appointments outside of the school day. Please call in all absences to the school office (831-899-7052) the morning of the absence or within 24 hours!
Every School Day Counts: Help Your Child Succeed in School
School success goes hand in hand with good attendance! Every day is important. Many MPUSD students miss 10 percent of the school year - about 18 days a year or just two days every month. Chronic absenteeism in kindergarten, can predict lower test scores, poor attendance, and retention in later grades.
If your child will be out for 3-14 days, please arrange to have an Independent Study Contract completed through the office at least 2 weeks before the beginning of the absence.
